Introduction
This series was issued in the early 20th century, probably between 1900-1914. The exact date, origin and author are not known. When a date of a certain series is known, it is mentioned below for that specific series.
The images of these series have been used in a number of different formats, from small stamps to nearly postcard size. The series have been used by a large number of companies in at least Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and the United Kingdom. It is very likely that the overview shown below is far from complete.
Not all companies seem to have issued all images, but I have no complete overview.
The printer for the German series is sometimes mentioned as Dresdner Kunstanstalt AG, for the Dutch sometimes as Gebr. Cats, Amsterdam.
