Heraldryshop > Catalogue > Tea- and trading cards > Dutch series : Coats of arms of countriesSeries information :
IntroductionThis is a large series of trade cards, 7x3.8 cm, with coats of arms and flags of different countries. They are issued before 1914, but otherwise I have no information on the artist or who actually published this series. The series were used by a number of companies as advertising. Below are only the blank cards shown. Not only as trading/advertising cards, but also as postcards, and as advertising/appointment cards.Companies that used the series are at least : Honig, Kraepelien & Holm, Neelmeijer en Van Dijk's. The company Spit & de Vetter used the same images on their appointment cards. Other companies may have done so as well.
Cards issued :Based on the different series, which are all numbered differently, the following images have been issued. Not all companies seem to have issued all images though. And different companies have numbered the images differnetly. The list below is based on the list of Van Dijks.Spit & De Vetter gives also 72 cards, issued in three series, but with complpetely different numbering. Several cards were issued with different background colours. See for example Norway below and the variations between the different companies.
